Amy teaches classical guitar lessons and arranges, composes, and records music for classical guitar. Amy believes in a holistic approach to musicianship and is an advocate for health and wellness for musicians. In addition to teaching guitar lessons, she also teaches Alexander Technique and yoga to musicians.
Amy teaches guitar lessons to students of all levels from beginning to advanced, ages eight to adult. Students learn technique, music theory, and a variety of songs. Lessons are tailored to the interests and ability levels of each individual student and are scheduled once a week for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Amy's students have the opportunity to participate in recitals as well as the Certificate of Merit program for classical guitar.

Amy is a guitar teacher and classical guitarist in Temecula, CA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from California State University, Fullerton, where she studied under David Grimes. She taught at Riverside City College as an Associate Professor of Music and has been performing and teaching guitar lessons since 2005.
Amy has performed at hundreds of events as a soloist and with various chamber groups. She was a member of the Fullerton Guitar Orchestra from 2006-2010, during which they performed throughout California and on a three-week tour of Bulgaria, which culminated with a concert at the U.S. Embassy in Sofia. She has published arrangements and original compositions and recorded three albums. Amy is a founding committee member of the Orange County Guitar Orchestra and is the chair of the guitar syllabus committee for the Certificate of Merit program with the Music Teacher's Association of California.
While earing her Masters Degree, Amy developed carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel in both arms and hands. She started taking Alexander Technique and private yoga lessons. Her body began healing from the inside-out and she continued the journey of living a healthy lifestyle as a musician by becoming certified to teach yoga and Alexander Technique. During her Alexander Technique training, Amy interned at the Meadowmount School of Music in New York, where she had the opportunity to work with musicians from all over the world.
Amy believes in the importance of health and wellness for musicians. She enjoys teaching aspects of Alexander Technique to her guitar students.
All lessons are currently online or outside Amy's home studio in the Harveston community of Temecula, CA, less than 2 miles from the Promenade mall off of Winchester and the 15 fwy, on the border of Temecula and Murrieta.
