Guitar lessons are available for students of all ages, from ages five to adult, and all levels from beginning to advanced. Students will learn technique, music theory, and a variety of songs based on their interests and abililties. Lessons are scheduled at Chrissie Vocal Studio in Tustin once a week for 30-, 45-, or 60-minutes.
Amy is a guitar teacher and classical guitarist from Orange County, CA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from California State University, Fullerton, where she studied under David Grimes. She formerly taught at Riverside City College as an Associate Professor of Music and has been performing and teaching guitar lessons in Orange County since 2005.
Amy has performed at hundreds of events as a soloist and with various chamber groups. She was a member of the Fullerton Guitar Orchestra from 2006-2010, during which they performed throughout California and on a three-week tour of Bulgaria, which culminated with a concert at the U.S. Embassy in Sofia. Amy is a founding committee member of the Orange County Guitar Orchestra and is the head of the guitar syllabus committee for the Certificate of Merit program with the Music Teacher's Association of California. She is currently in her fourth year of study to become an Alexander Technique teacher and incorporates the Alexander Technique into her lessons.
