Guitar lessons are available for students ages five to adult and all levels from beginning to advanced. Students will learn technique, music theory, and a variety of songs based on their interests and abililties. Lessons are scheduled at Amy's home studio in Temecula once a week for 30-, 45-, or 60-minutes.
Alexander Technique teaches students to notice and get rid of harmful habits and explore how we are meant to move with ease, coordination, and efficiency. Amy incorporates the Alexander Technique into her guitar teaching and offers group and individual Alexander Technique lessons to musicians and people from all walks of life.
Amy is a guitar teacher and classical guitarist in Temecula, CA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from California State University, Fullerton, where she studied under David Grimes. She has taught at Riverside City College as an Associate Professor of Music and has been performing and teaching guitar lessons since 2005.
Amy has performed at hundreds of events as a soloist and with various chamber groups. She was a member of the Fullerton Guitar Orchestra from 2006-2010, during which they performed throughout California and on a three-week tour of Bulgaria, which culminated with a concert at the U.S. Embassy in Sofia. Amy is a founding committee member of the Orange County Guitar Orchestra and is the chair of the guitar syllabus committee for the Certificate of Merit program with the Music Teacher's Association of California. She studied Alexander Technique at the Contemporary Alexander School and recently became a certified teacher of Alexander Technique in 2019.
Lessons are given at Amy's home studio in the Harveston community of Temecula, CA, less than 2 miles from the Promenade mall off of Winchester and the 15 fwy.
